Official pricing checked September 7, 2026 (Japan time). This is a comparison of published specifications, not a hands-on test.
For a publisher running one website, the first decision is who needs to edit inside the tool. A plan that fits one operator can be a poor match for two collaborators, even when its content allowance looks sufficient.
Consider a planning example: one site producing ten articles a month. That is our hypothetical workload, not a tested capacity or a promise that either product can complete it.
Selected plans and billing
NeuronWriter prices below retain the vendor’s displayed dollar sign; its settlement currency was not confirmed. Frase states USD. NeuronWriter analysis counts marked † have an unconfirmed reset cycle.
| Plan | Month-to-month | Monthly equivalent with annual billing | Listed capacity |
|---|---|---|---|
| NeuronWriter Bronze | $23 | $19 | 2 projects; 25 content analyses† |
| NeuronWriter Gold | $69 | $57 | 10 projects; 75 content analyses† |
| Frase Starter | $49 | $39 | 1 site; 1 seat; 10 articles/month |
| Frase Professional | $129 | $103 | 5 sites; 3 seats; 40 articles/month |
Frase explicitly identifies its prices as USD. NeuronWriter displays a dollar sign; confirm the settlement currency, taxes, and total at checkout. Annual figures are monthly equivalents of an annual commitment, not month-to-month prices. These are selected tiers for this scenario, not complete product lineups. One operator or several editors?
NeuronWriter Bronze lists read-only sharing. The Gold plan page lists collaborative creation and editing with unlimited team members, plus WordPress, Google Search Console, and Shopify integrations. The pricing page states that its seven-day trial uses Gold terms. A successful trial therefore does not demonstrate that Bronze contains the same workflow. NeuronWriter plan details.
Frase Starter lists WordPress publishing and one seat. Professional includes three seats. The Frase pricing page states that its seven-day trial provides Professional features with capped quantities, including five articles and up to three seats. Starter stops at monthly limits; Professional offers optional usage-based overages, disabled by default. Frase plan details.
Our interpretation: evaluate Bronze when one person operates the tool and read-only sharing is sufficient. If colleagues must edit inside it or use the listed integrations, include Gold in the evaluation. For Frase, compare Starter for one operator with Professional for multiple seats. Do not treat a shared password as a substitute for the required access model.
Ten articles does not mean ten analyses
The capacity labels above measure different things. Neither the price table nor our research establishes a one-to-one conversion between an article and an analysis. We did not confirm NeuronWriter’s analysis reset rules from the reviewed pricing page. Ask how new queries, repeated analysis, and revisions consume the allowance before relying on it for a monthly schedule.
Do not divide subscription price by the displayed count to claim a comparable cost per finished article. Your editing and fact-checking work also affects the cost of publication.
A small evaluation before committing
Use one existing article and one new brief. Write down your acceptance criteria before trying either product:
- Can each contributor perform their assigned editing task with the intended paid plan?
- Can you move the draft into your CMS without losing headings, tables, or links?
- Which actions consume capacity, and can you see the remaining balance?
- How much manual correction is needed before the article meets your editorial standard?
Record what actually happens. Avoid turning a higher optimization score into a claim about future search rankings. Keep publishing approval under your control while evaluating the workflow.
Which should you shortlist?
Start with the required seats and integrations, then compare billing commitments and capacity. Our shortlist is conditional on those requirements; we have not established a winner for output quality, usability, or SEO results.
